Working on the journals was an incredibly enjoyable project, as these hero props offered a unique opportunity to infuse the personalities of the characters into their designs. Each journal was tailored to reflect its owner’s essence—Sirrus's Journal, with its chaotic and torn-apart appearance, contrasted sharply with Atrus's Journal, which was designed to look old yet carefully preserved.
For texturing, I developed smart materials and a mask system using anchor points, which allowed various layers to interact dynamically. This approach added rich, detailed textures that brought depth and character to the journals, making them an integral and meaningful part of the world.
